Biography
Anthony J. Gray is an attorney, former non-profit executive, and a serial entrepreneur. Previously, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer at the Institute for Global Ethics. Prior to his work with the Institute, he served as Global Compliance Officer at Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation where his innovative leadership significantly improved the global compliance culture within the organization. Responsibilities included internal investigations, ethics education and training, legal and regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, as well as serving as Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer.
Prior to his work at Sikorsky, Mr. Gray was an attorney with Day Pitney LLP of Hartford, Connecticut, where he, as a member of the energy and later the finance departments, provided executive counsel to international corporations.
Mr. Gray also served as Judicial Intern for Chief Justice Shirley S. Abrahamson of the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Mr. Gray has served on the Wisconsin State Bar Association Board of Governors, is past-President of the Nonresident Lawyers Division of the Wisconsin State Bar, and has previously served on boards of Lawyers for Children America, Hartford Community Loan Fund (CDFI), the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Dane County, and Forward Community Investments (CDFI) and the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Dane County.
He is currently the President-Elect of the Madison Downtown Rotary Club.
Mr. Gray has also completed an appointed term as a Distinguished Scholar at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, a transdisciplinary research institute at the University of Wisconsin– Madison.
Mr. Gray is married and has two children, and resides with his family in Madison, Wisconsin. He received a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, an M.A.R. in Ethics from Yale Divinity School, and a B.G.S. degree from the University of Connecticut. Additionally, Mr. Gray has been admitted to practice law in Wisconsin, the District of Columbia, Connecticut, and New York.
